Campbell's new toy and teeth

Campbell is getting strong, and she loves to pull herself up. She loves her new toy that she can stand at and play with all the colorful, noise making buttons. We had fun last night playing. She loves playing with her daddy. She’s already figured out that daddies are for climbing. We played hard last night; crawling, cruising and rolling around laughing.
And, she has teeth! Her two bottom teeth have emerged. I’ll try to get a pic soon and post it.

Photo Shoot Pictures

The pictures from Campbell's photo shoot are now posted on http://www.joywrightphotography.com/
Click on Client Proofing (bottom right of site page) The password to see her pics is Allisonrocks. I hope you enjoy them! Cade and I are already preparing to spend a small fortune to buy them. We can't decide what our favorites are...too many to choose from!!!!

Oh, since my last post Campbell has started crawling and her first tooth is visible now. It is not all the way in yet; however, I can see it peaking through and feel how sharp it is. She is just growing up so fast....too fast!

Love to all...

She Can Climb!!!

Well, Cade and I were going through our nightly routine with Campbell when she threw us for a loop! She decided it was time to pull herself up to stand in her crib!!!!! I can not believe how big she is getting. She has been pulling up on our hands, but I had no idea she was ready to do it all by herself. She is one strong little cookie! As soon as she performed her newest stunt, I immediately started to worry about her doing that in the middle of the night...Cade sensed my worry (as usual) and began the not-so-easy task of lowering her crib. While Cade was cussing at the crib, Campbell drank her bottle while I was holding her and Marley rested her head in Campbell's lap. It was the perfect photo opp and Cade was too busy with the crib to catch it. Oh well, we might just have to stage that scenario again and snap a picture...it was too cute not to.

The first day of the school year begins tomorrow. I have been back at work since Monday trying to prepare and get ready. I have done pretty well in the crying department. I haven't cried at all this week.....yet! I have just been telling myself that I am just going to work in my classroom for a few hours. I think it will hit me tomorrow that work has REALLY started back and I am not with my sweet Campbell everyday. Cade and I are so fortunate to have our moms so close and are able to keep her during the day. I don't know what I would do if I had to put Cam in daycare this young. My heart goes out to those mommies that have to. I can't imagine!!!

All is well other than that. My 10 year reunion is this weekend and I am in a wedding the next. It will be very busy around here for the next few weeks. I will be glad to get into a routine and slow down a bit!

Mommy's first day back

Al started back work today. I'm sure she's having a hard time being away from Campbell; however, Cam is in good hands, as she and Marley played at their Meme's house today. This marks the end of the long, lazy days at the pool for Campbell and her mommy. They were able to spend both days this past weekend at the pool to end the summer vacation. Campbell starts her mom's day out at HUMC in a few weeks. I'm sure Al will have a rough time when she takes Cam to her first day of school.

I came home a little early today, so Al could go back to school to meet parents. Cam was tired, but we had a good time playing in the floor with her toys. She got a little whiney and rolled over to me and reached out for me, so I picked her up and sat her on my lap to watch TV. She squirmed, so I put her down. She immediately began to whimper and turned around, looked up at me, and reached for me. So sweet. So I picked her up to snuggle and didn't put her down until a gave her a bath.

Pictures from July

Pictures from photo session last weekend

We had a great photographer, Joy Wright, come to the house last weekend to take pictures of Campbell. We are eagerly awaiting the proofs, so we can order all the great pictures. She was nice enough to put a couple of previews on her blog. When Joy gets the photos ready, we'll forward the address for all to see.

Father's Day

Cam is taking her morning nap. She just ate her bananas for breakfast. And she had some juice. She is drinking out of a sippy cup now. Al made me breakfast this morning for the special day. After Cam wakes up, I'll continue my special day with yard work. I hope to watch the US Open, but it looks like Long Island is getting flooded with rain similar to the what we had a few weeks ago in the Ham.

Summer is here

Cambell is getting big. She has her 6 month check up at the end of this month. We weighed her a week ago, and she weighed around 13lbs. She is rolling over like crazy. She's been going from tummy to back, but she didn't go from back to tummy until last weekend at Stephen and Steph's. (Baby Ben is doing well.) She's playing with her toys so much more now; it's so much fun. The best thing is when I walk in the door from work. Al is usually feeding Cam her food. As soon as she sees me walk in the door, she gives me this big smile and makes the day worth it. She loves her daddy. Al's doing well. She's still trying to get her RA meds straightened out. She gets to spend the entire summer with Campbell, so I'm jealous. My finger is doing well. I'm keeping it. No surgery. I won't be playing golf until sometime in August. I go back to the Dr. on the 24th for more X-rays to see if the bone is healing well. I feel it is; I can't feel the two pieces of that bone fopping around anymore. I just keep my finger in my plastic splint/sleeve and keep trucking. It's healing really well. I think it looks well considering it was crushed and partially amputated.

Snow day

Snow Day! It snowed in Alabama today. I started the day down at the farm. We were scheduled to do a little quail hunting, but we woke up to find snow and 15mph winds. I packed up and headed home when a break in the snow appeared. I got home just before the next wave. It was in the range of 33-37 degrees, so it didn't stick around long after the sun came out. Campbell slept through the whole thing. I built a snowman hoping that Cam would come out and play, but she was tired.
